IPPITY STAMP Sale

All my in stock Ippity Stamps are on sale now to clear out what is left & make room for the to die for new releases next month.  Click here to shop now... remember I ship free to USA/APO & give allowance for international shipping.

I've been so neglecting my poor blog... I'm so sorry.  Our house is still a construction zone with the master bath and sunroom slowly being remodeled.  Chaos just seems to suck the creativity out of me... I like organization and everything being just so.  To top it off the pages/mini books I've been working on are all about my sons... and you all know that gives them "power of veto" when they don't want current things shared about them... oh how I miss having little ones with no say so lol.  I've also been trying to submit to CK and other card magazines which means no sharing that project online prior - why aren't they easy like the Trends?  So if they don't get picked up I'll have quite a few to share with you.

Also my sister is finally home from the hospital - wow almost a month was unbelievable.  She's recovering at our parents house.  Thanks so much everyone who sent her hand made cards - y'all are awesome and I can't tell you how much it encouraged her.  Thank you thank you thank you!

Well gotta run I promise to post something tomorrow

Hip Hop Hangover & RAK

It's Unity Stamp Co Hip Hop Hangover day!

I completed this layout yesterday that I started at the CHA Supershow Crop World's Biggest Crop (that didn't quite make it but it was still a fun time) on Friday night using photos from my favorite bakery that was forced to close at the end of last month due to the economy. They were growing by leaps & bounds so it wasn't for lack of business but the fact that their bank cut their line of credit since they were a new business. The Laughing Elephant sure will be missed in our house & many other homes around Atlanta.

Supplies: Cardstock (Bazzill); Paper (Making Memories, Basic Grey, & Collage Press); Diecuts (Collage Press); Pins (Making Memories); Bling (K&Co); Ticket (Jenni Bowlin); Paperclip (Tim Holtz); Ribbon (misc from stash); Stamps (Unity Stamps May KOTM & Unity Stamps Confession I Love Unity); Canvas (misc from stash); Ink (Ranger)

I also made a quick card using my July KOTM & some new Graphics 45 Domestic Goddess paper.

Since I will get a lot of Unity people today I thought I would repost my photo with Angela & Brooke & the sneak peak of the upcoming stamp releases.

I also wanted to offer a RAK. I picked up an extra Making Memories Pink Slice Apron at the show. Just like the one I'm wearing in the photo above. It will go to one lucky reader. To enter just leave a comment. If you are or become a follower you will get 2 entries... just let me know in the comment. Contest closes at 11:59 pm eastern time on Sunday August 9th. I'll draw Monday morning.

If you'd like to start the blog hop from the beginning head on over to the Unity blog. They are having a great sale 30% off everything in the store. Discount code "ENJOY"

Look at the new August Kit of the Month. I'll be stalking the mailman next week. Filled with fantastic images perfect for cardmakers & scrapbookers alike. New customers get a new release bonus set of stamps free with sign up. The KOTM are the best value around at $24 plus shipping. The only kit I can't give up. Quality, cuteness, value, & usefullness all wrapped up in one must have kit that gets better each & every month.

Thanks for visiting & have a wonderful weekend.

Hip Hop Hangover

What a busy week this has been... It'll be great to have a long weekend. Even if it looks like we'll have some rain everyday of it.

It's Friday & you know that means Unity Stamp Hip Hop Hangover. If you'd like to do the hop from the start head on over to the Unity Blog

I sure am having a great time creating with all the new Unity Stamps I ordered last week. My sweet hubby after 23 years knows how much I love my crafts & prefer practical gifts so for our anniversary he let me pick out some kits to add to my growing collection. I sell cards so he knows I'll make some money too in the long run (to buy more stuff lol shhhh don't tell)...

I don't know about you but I need some great paper & embellishments to go along with those new stamps so I filled up my cart & placed an order at Everything Scrapp'n. They are having a great Memorial Day sale. Get 35% off your entire order. Coupon code "memorial". This sale begins May 22 and end May 25 (midnight EST). I've got some great stuff in my basket. There is also a giveaway. For every $20 you spend you get one entry to win this cute tabletop tote. See Denise's blog post for photos.

I had a layout challenge to use stamped images as embellishments. I love the Unity butterflies that came in the September KOTM. The cut slightly distressed polka dots are perfect. Just stamp them on pattern paper, cut out & they are ready to go.

Now now week is complete without making a cute card. Here's a super quick one using the FOLK INSPIRED kit. As a quilter I will get a lot of mileage out of this set.

In honor of Memorial Day Cards For Heroes is doing a Blog Hop. I'm excited to be one of the stops on the hop. I hope you will join in & hop for heroes this weekend. It's a great cause that provides blank cards for our soldiers to send home. There are some great scrapbookers/cardmakers who are participating including: Jennifer McGuire & Nichol Magouirik

Hope you have a great Memorial Day. Take some time during all the fun to remember what it's all about - those fallen soldiers who served America so bravely & their ultimate sacrifice.

Unity Kit of the Month Blog Hop

So what have you thought about the first ever Unity Stamp Company Kit of the Month Blog Hop? Well you're almost near the end as I'm #97 out of 100. If you stumbled onto my blog or are one of my regular readers you can start the Blog Hop from the beginning by going to the Unity Stamp Blog. Also if you get lost along the way, just click HERE to go to the Unity Splitcoaststampers forum.

I have been a Unity customer for about 8 months. Their stamps are super cute & great quality rubber. April was my first Kit of the Month purchase & all I could say when I received it was WOW. There are so many different images & they're not just little tiny stamps they even work on scrapbook layouts in addition to cards. If you sign up to receive KOTM by Sunday May 17th, 2009 you are eligible to purchase prior KOTM for $24 (regularly $45). Isn't this May kit just too cute? I can't wait til next week when I get my hands on it.

There are also some amazing sales going on see the Thursday Unity blog post. In all the time I've been a Unity customer I've never seen sales this fantastic. Even better IMHO than the one during their 1 year anniversary sale last week....

Here are a couple of cards I created with my April Kit of the Month. I have only had it a week so I've only made a few....

This was for a challenge yesterday... Not sure I'm loving my color combo but the butterfly stamps sure are sweet.

These are my favorite images from the kit. I love the butterfly & the vintage dress form. I love the details & it has made some great cards.

The 2 girls stamp is just too cute (love the new papers from Scenic Route & Little Yellow Bicycle)

If you have an extra moment Everything Scrapp'n has launched their first design team reveal on the store blog. I'm proud to design for them. Leave a comment for a chance at a RAK.

These tree stamps are Unity but not a KOTM stamp. I just had to show you what a great match it is for the tree images on the new Fancy Pants paper

Scrapperie is having an online crop this weekend with plenty of prizes & fun challenges.

Finally leave a comment for me & I have a RAK in honor of the Unity KOTM Blog Hop.

The next stop on the blog hop is Kelly.

Hip Hop Hangover

Well it's finally Friday for some reason this week has seemed long. I guess it was just having so much to do & trying to squeeze it in.

Making my sister a birthday gift/card. Mother's Day meant more gifts & cards. Lately each occasion I have been making mom a mini book. She really seems to love them & I enjoy making them.

I hope each of you have a blessed Mother's Day weekend.
Mother's Day sale at Everything Scrapp'n. 35% off your entire purchase. Discount code Mother
Everything Scrapp'n announced the new Guest Designer Lucy Chesna. She also has a sketch website. Join me in welcoming her to our team.
The Unity Blog Hop was amazing. The theme was scrapbook week so there was lots of amazing layouts to look at in addition to cards. The mailman brought my April kit of the month. It was the first one I bought & I have to tell you I was a huge fan of their stamps just from buying here and there but their kits are absolutely amazing. They are very reasonably priced and packed with wonderful images. I can't wait for the next one to arrive.
Here's a couple of cards that I made for the Unity Challenges this week.

Please make sure you check a couple posts ago to see if you were a winner of one of the RAK prizes I gave away last month or the prizes from Everything Scrapp'n scrapbook store. If I don't hear from the winners I'll feel bad but I'll have to draw alternate names.

Hip Hop Hangover

I just love my Unity Stamps. So when you add the fun Thursday Hip Hop Blog Hop & all day Chat & Prizes that's a combination the makes my heart sing.

This week is Unity Stamps First Birthday Celebration Lots of sales & fun. Even a brand new community.

My silly kidney problem didn't get the message to not schedule anything on Thursdays... so I had a doctor appointment in the afternoon. By the time I got home & back online I hear the TV beeping... those pesky thunderstorms were rolling on in so most of the evening I had the computers turned off & unplugged (you know how my luck has been going with trees falling this month)... Anyway at 11:45 pm I thought I would check before I went to bed who won the card contests. Well shock & nearly falling out of my chair I won a fantastic prize!

Jeanne posted this: The winner of the Unity Almost Birthday Challenge is IAMCraftysuz. (for some reason on splitcoast "craftysuz" was already taken so I had to add something to it) She wins Alpha G Just My Type! You can see her cutie owl card --> HERE

Yay! I couldn't sleep after that so I went in the scrap room & worked on some projects.

Don't forget to leave a comment for another entry into my month long RAK contest for more details see this post If you haven't already done it sign up as a follower for more entries.

Also check out the Everything Scrapp'n Blog -- Huge $90 My Mind's Eye RAK. There is still plenty of time to create a layout or 5 for entry into the contest.

While I have you here... one more "plug"... if you're looking for fantastic video scrapbooking tutorials & inspiration you have to visit Paperclipping.com. Noell & her hubby Izzy are amazing talents. There are some free videos but if you become a premium member you get access to all the videos in the archives. Trust me it's better than any online "class" you can take on design. Click on the link on my right sidebar just under my slideshow & join in the fun today.

Thanks so much for visiting today. Here are the cards I made for the challenges yesterday.

Everyone at Unity loves quotes... so here's my quote for the day (I give up trying to get rid of this funky cutoff text - grrrr guess that goes along with regret for wasting time lol)

"Regret for wasted time is more wasted time."
Mason Cooley

If you want to start the blog hop from the beginning (to see all the great eye candy & I spotted a couple of RAKS) go to the Unity Blog. Speaking of RAKS check out this one last blog for a huge one I found thru the hop today Passion for Crafts
